He’s just a human being! Marc Marquez will not compete in the MotoGP race from Andalusia in Jerez. The pain was too great.

The Spaniard had tried everything to start with a broken right upper arm in the second race of the season. Marquez suffered the break last Sunday. A titanium plate was used on the Honda driver on Tuesday. It should allow a start just five days after the operation.

But the efforts have been in vain. Marquez had stopped qualifying on Saturday after only one lap due to excessive pain. When accelerating, the eight-time world champion had trouble keeping his machine under control.

For Marquez, the racing weekend was over. The 27-year-old remains at zero points. The champion wants to recover for the MotoGP from Czech Republic in Brno on August 9th.
