The city of Linz informed about this in a press release on Wednesday morning.
A Linz man had spent several hours in the betting shop on each day, and on Tuesday he tested positive for the Covid-19. After typical symptoms of the disease appeared in both the man and his wife, contact persons were researched and secreted, said the Magistrate of Linz.
Since it cannot be ruled out that further infections occurred during the stay of the infected person in the betting office at Wiener Straße 37, all those who were also there on the day should monitor their state of health closely.
Symptoms such as shortness of breath, sore throat, catarrh of the upper respiratory tract, fever, dry cough or a sudden loss of taste or smell are signs of infection. In this case, please contact the hotline 1450 immediately.
