FC Schalke 04: betrayed change? Player woman makes clear hints
Pulls the FC Schalke 04 an old warhorse on land? A rumor about José Holebas is now sprouting – because his wife has caused a stir on Instagram.
The 36-year-old left-back is on an expiring contract at Watford FC, and there is a risk of relegation from the Premier League. A farewell is imminent – about FC Schalke 04?
FC Schalke 04: player woman causes crazy rumor about oldie José Holebas
At least that suggests his wife’s social media activity. Diana Holebas first followed FC Schalke 04 on Instagram, then posted a photo of moving boxes along with an emoji statement that a move from England to Germany is pending.
Actually an almost clear sign of an S04 change. Holebas doesn’t really fit into FC Schalke 04’s loot scheme.

FC Schalke 04: THIS defensive talent comes free of charge
Schalke is looking for a young right-back, will an old left-back come instead?
Schneider mainly builds on young talents, in addition, Königsblau currently has three left-backs in the squad with Bastian Oczipka, Jonas Carls and Hamza Mendyl – the hole gapes rather behind right after the exits of Jonjoe Kenny and Daniel Caligiuri (>> here more).
In addition, “Sky” wants to know that the Holebas rumors made tangible by wife Diana are not correct.
This is José Holebas:
- Born on June 27, 1984 in Aschaffenburg
- Greek citizen and international (38 appearances)
- First professional club: 1860 Munich
- Via Piraeus, AS Roma now at Watford FC
- Four times Greek champion & twice cup winner
So was the action of José Holebas’ wife Diana just a ruse? Perhaps the Greek born in Aschaffenburg will actually return to Germany – even if the new employer will not become FC Schalke 04.
Holeba’s past in Germany
José Holebas was not only born and raised in Aschaffenburg, he also took his first football steps in Germany. At 1860 Munich the full-back became a professional. In 2010 he finally went on a journey through Europe. Piraeus was followed by AS Roma and finally Watford FC.
First commitment already bagged
FC Schalke 04 has already bagged their first commitment on the transfer market. Florian Flick is transferring from Waldhof Mannheim to FC Schalke on a free transfer. Read here how S04 plans with the defensive talent!
