Like Donald Trump in 2015, he seems to be serious about his approach to the White House.

Rap star Kanye West held its first campaign event. Like his previous announcements about his alleged presidential ambitions, it was chaotic. West burst into tears during Sunday’s performance in the state of South Carolina when he said that his father wanted to have him aborted.

“My mother saved my life,” said the 43-year-old. He then said that he himself had an abortion for his wife Kim Kardashian when the reality TV star was pregnant with North – the couple’s eldest daughter. “I almost killed my daughter! I almost killed my daughter! ”West exclaimed.

The musician also claimed that the famous African-American escape assistant Harriet Tubman (1820-1913) never freed slaves. Rather, she “let the slaves work for other white people”. Tubman’s life is the subject of the film “Harriet – The Road to Freedom” from last year.

Only invited guests were admitted to the rapper’s election event in Charleston. West wore a bulletproof vest that said “safety”. According to US media reports, participants had to make a written statement to commit themselves to wearing masks and keeping their distance from other guests during the event.

West had announced, on July 4, to everyone’s surprise, that she was going to run for the November presidential election. Since then, it has been puzzled in the USA how serious he really is about it.

West has long been a glowing supporter of President Donald Trump. In the end, however, he distanced himself from the right-wing populist. Observers point out that the rapper could harm Trump’s designated Democratic Party rival Joe Biden in some hotly contested key states if West does actually run and win black votes.
