According to the company, the additional panel, which is located above the keyboard, should be able to display Twitch streams or Discord chats, among other things. The second display is also suitable for creative people. For example, the toolbar can be moved from Photoshop to the lower screen. With which one can look forward to an additional gain of space on the main monitor. The design concept could also improve the workflow for video editing programs such as Adobe Premiere.
When it comes to hardware, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 uses an Intel Core i9-10980HK processor and a total of 32 GB RAM. Furthermore, there are two SSDs in a RAID-0 array in the new ASUS laptop. For the graphics card, the choice fell on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q.
However, the whole thing is not exactly cheap: As ASUS announced in advance, the recommended retail price is a whopping 4,000 euros. Which for most gamers will surely be well above the budget. With professional graphic designers or filmmakers, on the other hand, the new ASUS laptop could attract more interest, despite the high price. Especially since every future owner of the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 can look forward to a notebook as well as a backpack, a headset, a gaming mouse and an external webcam. The additional webcam should be of primary interest to streamers who produce letsplays.
The ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 (GX550LWS-HC076T) is currently available for around 3,900 euros from notebook cheaper and can be delivered immediately.
