Markus Schopp will most likely continue at TSV Hartberg. The East Styrians were able to agree on a contract with their successful coach, which with a clause keeps a back door open.
This morning coach Markus Schopp and sports director Erich Korherr will meet for the last time before going on vacation. There are many indications that Schopp is continuing with the East Styrians. Last but not least, the move to the Europa League qualification put Hartberger in euphoria and now the flow should be carried as best as possible into the next season.
According to the Kleine Zeitung, Schopp should therefore only clarify the last contract details until it is signed. “Somewhere between Graz and Hartberg” will be put together, said Korherr in the Krone, who soon wants to nail things up: “I was never afraid that Schopp would not stay. But as long as the signature is not under the contract, anything can happen.”
The only downside: the successful coach gets an exit clause should an internationally renowned club knock. After all, Schopp has aroused desires with Hartberg and should be on the umbrella of several foreign clubs, according to the Krone. Most recently, Schopp was associated with SK Sturm, who is now entering the new season with Christian Ilzer. There was also a wild rumor about a position as assistant coach at AC Milan in early July.
