BerlinIn Berlin, 1,400 new infections with the corona virus have been registered in the past 24 hours. That comes from the situation report of the Senate Health Administration from Friday. The total number of people infected since the beginning of the pandemic has risen to 63,064, with 40,762 people now considered recovered – 1184 more than the day before. Berlin currently has 21,763 acutely infected people.
Most new infections were reported in the Mitte district (198), followed by Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf (193) and Neukölln (182). The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week is currently 211.7 for Berlin. The previous day the value was 215.6. The corona traffic light for this so-called seven-day incidence is still red. The critical threshold is 50.
The intensive care bed occupancy rate in Berlin has also decreased slightly. While it was 24.2 percent on Thursday, the load factor is now 23.5 percent. The Corona traffic light is still yellow. Currently, 298 Covid 19 sufferers need intensive care, of which 241 are ventilated. A total of 1123 people with Covid-19 are in hospital.
539 people have so far died in Berlin in connection with a corona infection. Twelve new deaths have been added since Thursday.
