BerlinThe corona traffic light for intensive care bed occupancy has jumped back from red to yellow. That comes from the situation report of the Senate Health Administration from Sunday afternoon. Earlier in the day, the administration had published the management report for Saturday – in it the traffic light had shown red for the first time with a value of 25.3 percent. On Sunday afternoon, the value was again below the 25 percent mark – the intensive care bed occupancy rate was 24.2 percent.
In the past 24 hours, 332 new infections with the corona virus were registered, but six Berlin districts did not report any numbers, namely Mitte, Lichtenberg, Pankow, Reinickendorf, Spandau and Treptow-Köpenick. Thus, the number of new infections registered is significantly lower than during the week.
The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week was 202.0 on Sunday. The corona traffic light for this so-called seven-day incidence remains on red. Only the corona traffic light for the reproduction number is green, which indicates how many people an infected person is on average. The value was 0.92 on Sunday.
1129 people with Covid 19 disease are currently being treated in the Berlin clinics, of which 304 are receiving intensive care. 241 people have to be ventilated. 42,014 people are now considered to have recovered, 593 more than on Saturday.
