Let’s not kid ourselves: Picking up food in a restaurant and eating at home is not nearly as nice as it is on site. Especially when it is a cosily furnished restaurant like the Akropolis on Helene-Weigel-Platz.
But because of the government’s package of measures, we will probably not be able to stop at our favorite Greek until the new year. Bad and annoying! After all, the boss and his team are now once again offering meals outside the home.
There are some delicacies on the menu that I would like to recommend to you today, dear readers. In keeping with the cold season, braised lamb shank would be ideal – with tomato sauce and rice noodles for 16.90 euros. Excellent! The Bifteki is also always a pleasure. The minced steak filled with feta cheese is served with tzatziki, french fries and salad – for 15.30 euros.
If you are particularly hungry, you could try the Corfu platter (18.90 euros). It has a souflaki (meat skewer), a crown of lamb, a suzuki (minced steak), a chicken breast fillet, gyros, tzatziki, french fries and salad. Top!
Hopefully the great Acropolis will hold out despite permanent lockdowns. We help as best we can. Jamas!
