ARD reacts to scandal: will “Der kleine Lord” be removed from the program?
But the actor has caused a scandal in the past few days. Does this mean that the broadcast of the film is on the brink?
The ARD has now responded. Ricky Schroder campaigned for the release of Kyle Rittenhouse (17) on Twitter.
He shot two people at a “Black Lives Matter” demonstration, as video recordings show.
Nevertheless, Schroder is convinced that Rittenhouse is innocent. For this reason, he said he deposited “hundreds of thousands” of dollars for the two million bail.
Since then, the alleged killer has been at large for the time being. That caused a stir on social media. Many users demanded that “The Little Lord” not be broadcast.
ARD speaks out on allegations
For example, a Twitter user wrote: “I hope that ARD will show attitude this year and will not show ‘Der kleine Lord’ anymore.”
Now the ARD commented on the allegations. “Ricky Schroder acted as a private person with his expressions of solidarity,” explained Christoph Pellander (40), editor-in-chief of ARD Degeto, to the news portal “t-online.de”.
Schroder’s behavior is not related to his role in the Christmas classic.
“As planned, ‘The Little Lord’ will be broadcast on the First’s Christmas program,” Pellander said.
The broadcast dates on December 18th and 26th of this year have been fixed for a long time.
