Stuttgart – The state government does not want to announce the new corona rules for Baden-Württemberg until Monday. This was announced by a spokesman for the State Ministry in Stuttgart on Sunday evening. The regulation should come into force on Tuesday. On Friday, a weekend publication was still expected. Until recently, according to reports, the ministries were in an agreement on how the latest federal and state resolutions to contain the corona pandemic in Baden-Württemberg should be implemented.

Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the prime ministers of the federal states agreed on how to proceed on Wednesday. Many details remained open – for example, special rules for extreme corona hotspots, in which there are more than 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.

However, new quarantine rules already apply. So whoever gets a positive test result has to go home immediately. The same applies to their household members and close contact persons. Even if a doctor orders a corona test in suspected cases because of symptoms such as fever, dry cough or the loss of smell and taste, the quarantine obligation begins. It ends automatically if no coronavirus is detected in the throat swab. The quarantine is otherwise two weeks and will be shortened to 10 days from December 1 in accordance with the federal-state resolution.
