Berlin & Brandenburg: Health Committee advises on pandemic issues

Berlin (dpa / bb) – Several aspects of the corona pandemic occupied the health committee in the Berlin House of Representatives today. According to the agenda, the committee wants to deal with issues relating to nursing training, among other things. The personnel situation in nursing is one of the main concerns of clinics – currently due to the increase in Covid 19 cases, but also in the future. A 2019 study by the Berlin Hospital Society came to the conclusion that an additional 10,000 nurses will have to be recruited over the next ten years. In the committee, the CDU parliamentary group also wants to emphasize its demands for another women’s shelter and for a comprehensive Berlin study on the role of children in the pandemic.
