Theft before Christmas: A suspected shoplifter was caught in Berlin-Köpenick with 86 bars of chocolate.
As the police reported on Monday, a shop detective noticed a suspicious man in a discount store on Saturday – which in turn noticed. The 34-year-old is said to have “inconspicuously” put chocolate bars back on the shelves throughout the supermarket.
However, a mountain of sweets was found in the suspect’s car, including another 86 bars of chocolate, no proof was found.
“Even Santa Claus would have trouble explaining in retail with such quantities without a receipt,” noted the police on Twitter and Facebook.
