Amazon started its Black Friday today, one day before. The online mail order company promises “two days full of offers”.
Already today you can get an overview of countless items on offer on the Amazon site. Today’s discount campaigns include the new Fire TV Stick with Alexa remote control. The stick is available for around 15 euros less than usual. Part of the discount campaign is also the 4K version of the Fire TV Stick, which can be used to play and watch programs in UHD quality. This device is currently almost 30 euros cheaper than usual, but Amazon only states that it will not be available until December 16.
At a similarly reduced price, Amazon is now also offering the fourth-generation Echo Dot. The smart speaker comes with Alexa voice control and, in addition to playing music and calling up various information, can also regulate the light or thermostat in the house, among other things. Communication with artificial intelligence is now possible in both German and English (DIGITAL FERNSEHEN reported).
As part of Black Friday, Amazon also offers various offers in the home theater area. Various Samsung TVs are currently part of the campaign. The Samsung QLED 4K Q60T TV with a 65-inch screen diagonal is available for 849 euros, for example. The Samsung TU7079 with Ultra HD and HDR, however, for 579 euros. According to Amazon information, customers can currently save 220 euros.
Offers for film fans
For those looking for material for a movie evening, Amazon is offering selected “movie highlights of the year” on DVD and Blu-ray at reduced prices on Black Friday. The recently published “The Wonderful Mr. Rogers”, for which Tom Hanks was nominated for an Oscar this year, is available. But also highly acclaimed films from 2019 such as the comic adaptation “Joker” (in 4K) or the psychological chamber game “The Lighthouse” are available at reduced Black Friday prices.
There is an overview of all Black Friday promotional items on the Amazon website. For a long time, Amazon has been working towards the big global savings event as part of “Black Friday”. While all customers can currently save a lot of money when buying certain items, the ver.di union has again called for strikes that lasted several days this year. The reason for this are collective agreements that have been disputed for years.
Amazon employees are said to be on strike at various locations up to and including Saturday. Meanwhile, it seems rather unlikely that the planned strikes will have a major impact on the delivery of the products.
