Chassis with AI, better brakes / Products SPEEDWEEK.COM

Kawasaki refines the H2, which is powered by a supercharged engine. The SE model variant has been upgraded with an electronic chassis from Showa and radial brakes from Brembo.

With 200 hp at 11.00 / min and 137 Nm at 8500 / min, there are hardly any questions left unanswered on the engine side of an uncovered street motorcycle, even if the naked supercharger cannon with 239 kg is not the ultimate lightweight. The Kawasaki H2 is a naked bike for riders who want to be in the front row when it comes to engine performance.

Now Kawasaki is pushing the model variant SE, with electronic chassis and high-end radial brake calipers. The electronically controlled spring elements of the KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension) are supplied by Showa. With the KECS, the setting of the suspension elements is influenced, among other things, by the selected driving mode – in rain mode, the chassis is generally driven more gently – and is influenced by feedback from the traction control.

Brembo is contributing four-piston Stylema radial brake calipers and the radial brake cylinder. For this purpose, steel braided brake lines are installed. The electronic chassis increases the weight by one kilo, which nobody should feel with this engine power.

The standard version with the simple model abbreviation SE is equipped with partially adjustable spring elements and costs in the simplest color scheme in Germany from 16,664 euros. The SE is available from 19,832 euros. The prices in Switzerland and Austria are not yet known.
