Salzgitter. In Lower Saxony, two households with a maximum of five people are currently allowed to meet in public and private spaces. School lessons, on the other hand, still take place in classroom teaching. The Lord Mayor of Salzgitter and Vice President of the Lower Saxony City Council, Frank Klingebiel (CDU), called these contact restrictions disproportionate to the “Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung” (HAZ).
“I consider strict contact restrictions to be correct, but not in this undifferentiated way, where one completely omits a crucial area, namely schools.” Rather, he considers face-to-face teaching to be “perseverance slogans that are guided more by desire than reality”.
Schools in the city of Salzgitter are operating alternately
That is why he told the “HAZ” on Sunday to go their own way at the schools in his city. From now until the early start of the winter holidays on December 18, there will be alternating operations. He also appealed to introduce this model nationwide throughout the state.
The state of Lower Saxony will vote on further tightening of the corona regulations on Tuesday.
