The number of registered new corona infections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania rose by 187 cases from Wednesday to Thursday (as of Thursday 4:27 p.m.). A day earlier there were 128 new cases. Overall, the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGuS) reported 5,697 infections in the country since March. According to The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) estimates that 4,137 (+114) of the people who tested positive in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have recovered from Covid 19 disease. The number of deaths in the northeast rose to 58 (+1). In comparison to other federal states, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania continues to have the lowest number of cases.
Currently 27 people with Covid-19 in the hospital
Nationwide 114 (-3) people currently have to be treated in clinics. According to the intensive care register, there are currently 27 (-3) Covid-19 patients in hospital in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 14 of them need ventilation. The registry shows 544 occupied and 152 free intensive care beds for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (as of Thursday 4:19 p.m.).
Most cases continue to be in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district
According to the LAGuS, most of the infected were or are in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district with 1,165 (+25) cases so far. In the Mecklenburg Lake District there are a total of 877 (+55) cases. So far there have been 793 (+43) infections in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. 685 (+7) infections were reported in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen. The LAGuS reports 634 (+10) cases for the Hanseatic city of Rostock. In the district of Northwest Mecklenburg, the authorities registered 643 (+32) people who were verifiably infected with the corona virus. The lowest numbers are found in the Rostock district with 544 (+14) and the state capital Schwerin with 356 (+1) cases.
The national incidence value is 47.1
A total of four districts in the northeast currently exceed the critical incidence value of 50 and are therefore considered a risk area. In the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, the value is 67.1. This is followed by the districts of Northwest Mecklenburg with a seven-day incidence of 68.6 and the Mecklenburg Lake District with 67.8. In Ludwigslust-Parchim the value is currently 61.9. For the state capital Schwerin it is currently 26.1. The incidence value of the district of Vorpommern-Rügen was given as 13.8. In the Hanseatic city of Rostock it is 31.6 and in the Rostock district it is 29.2. Nationwide, the incidence value is 47.1 infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.
