The national team had already qualified for the 2022 European Championship in England before the kick-off. Nevertheless, Martina Voss-Tecklenburg’s team clearly defeated opponents Greece. A 22-year-old became the match winner.

The German national team defeated Greece on Friday evening 6-0 (4-0). The player of the game was Laura Freilang, who single-handedly pulled the opponent’s tooth with her three goals.

Marina Hegering headed the DFB team into the lead (17th minute), before the 22-year-old released a three-pack before the break (21st, 39th and 45th) and set the course for victory early on. Linda Dallmann (72nd) and Hoffenheim’s Paulina Krumbiegel (90th + 2) increased to 6: 0 in the second round and thus set the end of a one-sided game.

The German team had already qualified for the tournament in the year after next before the game in Ingolstadt. With the seventh win in the seventh game, the team cemented their role as favorites. Greece are with seven points after eight games in penultimate place and have no chance to qualify for the European Championship.
