FCSG players Betim Fazliji and Lukas Watkowiak tested positive for the corona virus on Friday. Both previously complained of mild symptoms of the disease, whereupon they underwent a test. The Super League game against FC Zurich on Sunday is therefore postponed.
(pd/nat) Two players from FC St.Gallen tested positive for the corona virus on Friday. Since players have repeatedly tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days, the St. Gallen Cantonal Medical Office ordered the team and staff members who were in close contact with the two players to be quarantined. This lasts up to and including Tuesday, December 1st. Betim Fazliji and Lukas Watkowiak have to be in isolation for ten days. The FCSG announced this in a communiqué.
Due to the quarantine for the first team, FC St.Gallen has requested the Swiss Football League (SFL) to postpone the Super League game against FC Zurich from tomorrow Sunday. The SFL has approved the postponement. According to the media release, it has not yet been determined when the game will be rescheduled.
