In the federal states and municipalities, preparations for the mass tests are in full swing. Now there is also specific information for participants.
Three locations in Vienna
From December 4 to 13, the locations in the Stadthalle, Marxhalle and Messe Wien are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 150,000 tests are to be carried out every day, 1.2 million Viennese are tested. 2,500 soldiers of the armed forces and 200 paramedics from the city of Vienna ensure that everything runs smoothly.
In Lower Austria, a platform was already online that stated that you would be invited to the test by post, reports “Ö3”. The tests will take place on December 12th and 13th. In Tyrol, for example, a form is sent that the participants should fill out and take with them to the test (December 4th to 6th). These take place directly in the municipalities – similar to the elections. There will be a nationwide IT system.
In Vorarlberg there will be direct mail from Monday. In the westernmost state, tests will also take place from December 4th to 6th. 80 test stations are open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each for 5,000 people. Salzburg, Styria and Carinthia will test on December 12th and 13th.
From December 11th to 14th, Upper Austrians have the opportunity to be tested. Burgenland prefers the mass tests on December 10th to 15th.
Test procedure fixed for teachers
Furthermore, the test procedure for the teachers was fixed. ÖVP Education Minister Heinz Faßmann announced the details in a letter to the schools. The tests will be conducted December 5th and 6th. From the beginning of the week, they should be able to book a test appointment near their place of residence via the appointment booking platform; 100 test stations are available nationwide. In Vienna, Tyrol and Vorarlberg, the teachers are also tested as part of the general mass tests.
