Gabriel Clemens is the best German darts professional. In this year’s World Cup, however, there is a risk of an early clash with defending champion Peter Wright.
In match three of this year’s World Cup in London, a giant duel between Gabriel Clemens and Peter Wright is announced. This emerges from the seeding list published by the PDC world association on Monday morning. The Saarlander Clemens is therefore in 31st place in the ranking and has a bye in round one. He is the highest placed German. After a second round match against an unset player, “Snakebite” Wright, who was seeded in second position and is one of the top favorites at Alexandra Palace, would wait in round three.
Only champions against the Germans
The other two German starters Max Hopp and Nico Kurz have not been placed at the most important tournament of the year due to their poorer ranking. Both could play against the stars of the scene in the second round.

In addition to Champion Wright, world number one Michael van Gerwen and Welsh ex-rugby professional Gerwyn Price are also promising candidates for the Sid Waddell Trophy.
Van Gerwen can escape the duo until the final, Wright and Price would clash in a possible semi-final. The World Cup draw will take place on Thursday.
