Baden-Baden (dpa / lsw) – When calling vaccination: In Baden-Württemberg, telephone registrations for vaccination appointments in the corresponding larger centers should also be made possible. The Ministry of Health is working on such a possibility for vaccinations against the corona virus, said State Minister Manne Lucha to the SWR in Baden-Baden. “We are now working at full speed with the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and with the hotline number 116 117,” said the Green politician on Monday. The government has to act here at short notice because the vaccines are not yet approved.
Lucha defended the vaccines against doubts about tolerability: “They are safe,” said Lucha in the SWR Aktuell program. Despite the short development time, the three phases of development have been “adhered to one hundred percent”. “There are no better controlled drugs than vaccines,” Lucha said.
According to the expectations of the State Ministry of Social Affairs, the first deliveries of a vaccine should be made in the course of December. The vaccination logistics should be set up by December 15th. Eight or nine so-called central vaccination centers will be set up for this purpose. Mobile vaccination teams are supposed to care for people in old people’s and nursing homes, for example.
From mid-January 2021, an additional 50 district vaccination centers are to go into operation. You should each use two of your own mobile teams and work according to the plans until the end of 2021. Nobody is forced to get vaccinated. Lucha said he believed that nursing and medical staff were “leading by example”.
