Stuttgart (dpa) – What happens if the number of infections in a region in the country gets completely out of hand? The state government is currently working feverishly on a hotspot strategy for incidence values of over 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week. A draft for a corresponding decree of the green-led Ministry of Health, which is available to the dpa, provides for general exit restrictions in this case. Citizens are therefore only allowed to leave their homes “if there are good reasons”, such as for work, school, sports, shopping or visits to the doctor. Publicly and privately, only one household may then meet with one other person, but a maximum of 5 people. Visits to hospitals and care facilities should only be permitted after a previous antigen test or with an FFP2 mask.

Several districts in Baden-Württemberg are currently above the 200 mark – as of Sunday afternoon, for example, the districts of Tuttlingen, Lörrach, Heilbronn, Mannheim and the Schwarzwald-Baar district.

The CDU side is slowing down, however. She criticizes many unresolved points in the strategy of Health Minister Manne Lucha (Greens) and has legal concerns with regard to some formulations. The planned exit restrictions are also too general and extensive. Therefore, at the request of the CDU, the decree should not yet be passed, but should be discussed in the government’s Corona steering committee. The meeting was therefore brought forward to this Monday.
