The anticipation of the likely resumption of play in the Southwest Football Regionalliga is great at Kickers Offenbach, so great that the OFC would have preferred to start earlier. But the opponent does not participate.
Offenbach – The word satisfaction was not mentioned. You can feel it a little with Thomas Sobotzik. “It’s a small success for all of us, even if we haven’t won any points as a result,” emphasized the managing director of the regional soccer league team Kickers Offenbach in view of the fact that the game in the southwest will most likely resume this year. “As you know, we worked very hard for it,” said the ex-professional, who was delighted that the OFC’s arguments were now followed: “We don’t feel like winners, but we see ourselves on the right track.”
Kickers Offenbach – OFC Managing Director: “We seem to have won the tug of war”
Sobotzik couldn’t resist a little swipe. “We seem to have won the tug-of-war,” he wrote on Instagram for a video showing the OFC players doing strength exercises in training. It also says: “Received very positive signs from the regional association.”
Angelo Barletta received the announcement that the game will probably be resumed from the second weekend in December with a mixture of joy and relief. For the players and the coaching team it was “very, very important” to have a goal again, the head coach made clear. “The guys did very well, but at some point it gets difficult in the head.” Barletta had tried to counteract this by sprinkling in days off. Tomorrow the players can take another break. On Tuesday you will finally start a “normal training week”.
OFC: Kickers would have liked to bring the game forward – Kassel refuses
The OFC will probably continue on December 11th (7pm) – with the game at Astoria Walldorf. Then on December 15th the home game against KSV Hessen Kassel follows, which the Kickers would have liked to have moved to December 5th. But the North Hessians refused.
By the way: Bayern Alzenau is now training again. The Bavarians, who belonged to the Hessian Association, practice at Rot-Weiß Walldorf. They are forbidden in their state. (By Christian Düncher)
The OFC was on hold for a long time, because a binding statement from the league about the restart was a long time coming.
