For 62 euros each, investors get the new papers, as the company announced on Monday. On Friday, KION shares closed at EUR 70.10 on XXETRA. At the broker Lang & Schwarz, the papers are under a lot of pressure.
The existing KION shareholders will be offered the new shares at a subscription ratio of 9 to 1. Shouldn’t all new shares can be sold in this way, KION is planning a private placement with selected investors. This should then be completed on December 4th.
According to earlier statements, KION intends to use the fresh money to reduce its mountain of debt and switch back to growth after the Corona crisis. KION announced on November 18 that it would issue a good 13.1 million shares. At the price per share that has now been published, KION can expect a good 812 million euros.
With the new money, KION is also planning to be able to terminate the credit line that the Group had secured in May from the state development bank KfW and other banks due to the burdens caused by the corona pandemic.
KION shares temporarily lost 6.19 percent to EUR 65.76 in XETRA trading on Monday.
