“These police officers didn’t screw up, they are criminals who have committed serious crimes,” said the lawyer for music producer Hafida El Ali on Friday at BFM TV. You would have beaten your client several times for several minutes. She is sure that her client would be in jail without the surveillance video.

Numerous politicians, but also athletes, were shocked after the video was published. The top French footballers Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappé expressed their horror on Twitter. “Stop racism,” demanded Mbappé. The black music producer stated that he had been racially insulted by the police several times.
