Pimples, screamers or skirt belly? Stuttgart elected a new mayor on Sunday. The first results will be published shortly after the polling stations close at 6 p.m. We show the current status.
Stuttgart – On Sunday the people of Stuttgart elected a new Lord Mayor. After no applicant was able to achieve an absolute majority of the votes in the first ballot, a simple majority is sufficient in the second ballot this Sunday: Whoever gets the most votes is the new mayor.
Frank Nopper (CDU), Marian Schreier (independent, but SPD member) and Hannes Rockenbauch (SÖS) make the race among themselves. The polling stations closed at 6 p.m. and the first results were available shortly afterwards. The table shows the current status:
In the first ballot on November 8th, Frank Nopper was clearly ahead with 31.8 percent. Veronika Kienzle (Greens) came in second with 17.2 percent, but has since withdrawn.
In third place three weeks ago was Marian Schreier (independent / SPD) with 15 percent, followed by Hannes Rockenbauch (SÖS) with 14 percent.
