Still an unusual sight. Usually it is in the middle of a sparkling and fragrant Christmas market – canceled at the end of October due to Corona. Only a few onlookers enjoyed the light spectacle with a lot of distance from each other.
The 21 meter high spruce called “Bertl” comes from the Gröbminger Land in the Styrian holiday region Schladming-Dachstein (Austria), 640 km away. Because of the disastrous transport damage, “tree surgeons” had a lot to do to conjure up a halfway festive Christmas tree in front of the town hall.
But in the end it succeeded!
