The three promising candidates advertised themselves again at an event in the Rotebühlplatz meeting point, but they couldn’t argue. The host adult education center can count on the support of the future mayor.
Stuttgart – The three candidates Frank Nopper (CDU), Marian Schreier (non-partisan, but a member of the SPD) and the parliamentary group leader of the left-wing alliance in the local council, Hannes Rockenbauch, had a panel discussion on Thursday evening Volkshochschule (VHS) tried to score again. This happened simply because they all acknowledged the importance of the hosting educational institution in the Rotebühlplatz meeting point and guaranteed funding for the next few years. And this, although her experiences with the VHS were rather sobering: Nopper did not take a cooking course long-term, Rockenbauch’s Italian learned there apparently also needs a refresher. Marian Schreier knows the VHS primarily from attending concerts as part of “Jugend musiziert”.
