Oberwart: Covid-19 antigen test station opened in ESV hall

OBERWARTEN. The rapid test station is operated by the physician Stefan Horwath and the security expert Herbert Wagner, who already have a corona test station in operation in Eisenstadt. Everyone can come by and be tested, the operators say. Testing takes place on sports grounds 3 in the ESV hall in Oberwart from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A test costs 40 euros.

15 minutes to the result

The rapid tests are antigen tests that are carried out using a throat or nasal swab. Medically trained staff carry out the tests. The test person receives the result within a quarter of an hour via email or, if requested, by telephone. If the test is positive, the operator must contact the health number 1450 immediately. A PCR test must currently be performed to confirm the result.

General practitioners test for symptoms free of charge

General practitioners and specialists offer the rapid antigen test to their patients free of charge, financed through health insurance. In contrast to pharmacies, general practitioners Günter Ranftl from Großpetersdorf says general practitioner Günter Ranftl from Großpetersdorf also allows general practitioners to test symptomatic patients and emphasizes: “Elected doctors cannot bill this test, which is why Dr. Horvath also charges 40 euros.”

Dr. Raimund Lehner from Oberwart agrees with his colleagues. “We, the local doctors, also take care of the medical concerns of the patients concerned. This cannot be expected from this test station, which only wants to make profit from the crisis.”
