The eco-social camp has to sort itself out after the Stuttgart election debacle. The CDU boss Alexander Kotz, however, sees himself strengthened.

Stuttgart – This is a prelude: On day one after his victory in the mayoral election in Stuttgart, two employees of the fines office saw their new employer Frank Nopper in action – in front of the Stuttgart District Court. The still-mayor of Backnang appears there after a short night and an interview marathon in the afternoon because he was out on the Neckar with the “Wilhelma” on Whit Monday. A violation of the corona regulation? The new OB paid a fine of 100 euros, reluctantly, but with the election victory in mind. Once this has been retracted, he uses his witness rights to stand by the ship’s owner – and to subsequently get his right (see page 15).
