The city of Dortmund announced on Monday afternoon (November 30th) that there were ten new deaths in connection with the corona virus. This is a new high in the Corona crisis. According to the city, a total of 52 people died of Covid-19 in Dortmund, another 28 patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 died from other causes.
The ten dead are six men and four women between the ages of 73 and 93 who died causally of Covid-19. Seven people lived in a care facility. When asked, the city administration could not say whether all seven died in the same home or in different facilities.
The other three who died lived in their own apartment. Of the ten people who died, eight died after being admitted to hospital, two in the care facility where they lived. All people had underlying chronic illnesses.
Incidence is rising again
Meanwhile, the city of Dortmund announced on Monday (November 30th) that another 92 positive test results were added. Of these new cases of infection, 20 cases can be assigned to 7 families. Last Monday (November 23rd) there were 52 newly infected people.
Since the disease first appeared in Dortmund, a total of 9322 positive tests have been received. 7060 people are considered recovered. 2182 people in Dortmund are currently infected with the virus.
According to the calculation of the city of Dortmund using the RKI method, the incidence value with today’s figures will be 173.6. The actual value of the RKI will only be available from midnight and is binding from then on – slight deviations are possible until then. This increases the incidence again. On Sunday (November 29th) the value was 166.8 – on Friday (November 27th) at 162.2.
127 Corona patients are currently being treated as inpatients in Dortmund, including 37 intensive care units, 25 of them with ventilation.
