Hannover 96 loses after a catastrophic second half with 0: 3 (0: 0) against Holstein Kiel. This means that the Reds remain without a win in their fourth game in a row.
Kocak makes four changes
After the disastrous 1: 2 bankruptcy against the Würzburger Kickers, 96 coach Kenan Kocak changed his starting line-up to four positions. First of all, Patrick Twumasi, Kingsley Schindler, Josip Elez and Sei Muroya had to watch. Instead, the coach started with Baris Basdas, Philipp Ochs, Marcel Franke and Hendrik Weydandt.
The reds in grades: So the 96 professionals were in shape against Holstein Kiel
Michael Esser – Grade 3: Quick reaction when coming out and with a foot defense. Blameless at Kiel Elfertor, no chance at Kaiser own goal, even at 0: 3 nothing can be done.
The newly formed team did better than the disgrace against the bottom of the table. Hanover quickly settled in half of the guests and rarely gave the Kielers room to combine. Marvin Ducksch once again had little luck in front of the opposing box. The striker missed the two best chances to lead the 96 in half time.
Bad three-pack in half two
In the second half, the Reds got hit very badly. Thanks to Mühling’s penalty (56th), the own goal by 96 captain Dominik Kaiser (57th) and the goal by Janni Serra (60th), Kiel took the lead with 0: 3 within five minutes. 96 was completely out of place and had to contest the last 20 minutes with a minority. Because Simon Falette complained too much to the referee after a foul, he was thrown off the pitch.
