The city and district of Passau are developing into the republic’s corona hotspot.
The seven-day incidence in the Passau district has risen to a new high, according to the Robert Koch Institute. With 378.9 this was given on Sunday morning – the third highest in the entire republic.

“If there is no noticeable relaxation in the next few days, we may have to consider further targeted measures in order to bring the infection process under control and not overload our hospitals,” said District Administrator Raimund Kneidinger.
