Frankfurt / Main (AP) – Stephan Ernst, who was accused in the trial of the alleged murder of the Kassel District President Walter Lübcke, wants to give answers to questions raised by the family of the victim, according to his defense lawyer. This should happen next Thursday, said the lawyer on Thursday before the Higher Regional Court (OLG) Frankfurt.
In the proceedings, his wife Irmgard Braun-Lübcke and son Jan-Hendrik Lübcke testified as witnesses. The widow had said on the witness stand that she and her sons were looking for the “full truth”, after the last seconds, the last minute in Walter Lübcke’s life. What did he see, was there eye contact, was there a final exchange? “I want the full truth, that might help us to process it a little better,” said Braun-Lübcke in mid-November.
