Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – A 25-year-old man has been sentenced to three years and nine months in prison in the process of severe, long-term abuse of his former wife. The jury chamber at the Frankfurt district court assumed dangerous bodily harm on Monday. In addition, the accused must undergo alcohol therapy. The charge was still attempted manslaughter (Az .: 3590 Js 252905/19).
The dispute occurred in November last year in the woman’s apartment in Bad Homburg (Hochtaunuskreis). After the 25-year-old German learned of the woman’s sexual relationship with another man, he beat, kicked and choked the victim for several hours. Seriously injured, the woman managed to escape to neighbors, who called the police.
In the judgment, the court did not proceed from a deliberate intention to kill. The act arose out of a “spontaneous angry situation”. The defendant had shown remorse in court and apologized to the victim. The judgment is final.
