The new Prosecco DOC rosè from Villa Sandi is part of the well-known “Il Fresco” line. A fresh sparkling wine that symbolizes the Italian lifestyle.
The waiting is over. With the arrival of Prosecco Rosé from Villa Sandi, a long-cherished wish of all lovers of rose bubbles has come true. This can now be enjoyed for the first time. Typical floral and fruity notes of Prosecco combine with the pink tint and notes of red fruits and roses that are conveyed by the Pinot Noir grape. The Rosé Prosecco DOC is made exclusively from the Glera and Pinot Noir grapes and blended in a certain percentage that is specified in the production rules. It is also important that the Pinot Noir must be grown within the Prosecco DOC area.
Arrival of the rose version
“All of the world’s great appellations have a rosé version,” says Giancalo Moretti Polegato, who as a member of the board of the Consorzio DOC Prosecco has been a promoter of Prosecco Rosé since the Prosecco DOC appellation was created in 2009.
“In the Prosecco DOC area, other grape varieties have been grown in addition to Glera over the decades. We have been growing Pinot Noir on our own wineries for a long time and we are pleased that we have the opportunity to represent the different characteristics of the grapes. For the production of our Prosecco DOC Rosé, we consider it important to preserve the varietal character of the grapes, ”continues Moretti Polegato.
The Prosecco DOC Rosé enables Villa Sandi to further strengthen its deep connection with the region and to remain true to its commitment as administrator of the values and the uniqueness of the extraordinary Prosecco land.
