AGES: 7-day incidence at 205 –

The 7-day incidence, i.e. the number of new infections with the coronavirus in the past seven days per 100,000 inhabitants, is now 205 according to the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) (as of today, 2 p.m.). As in the past few days, this is another decline.

According to AGES, 4,400 people have died nationwide as a result of Covid-19. There are currently 3,599 patients in hospital treatment, 591 of them in the intensive care unit.

AGES recently switched to a new reporting scheme. Thus, all values show the figures from the previous day – like the report from the ministries. Significant difference to the ministry reports: Laboratory-confirmed cases, deaths etc. are not shown at the time of reporting, but on the date of diagnosis or death. In a new display in, it is now made transparent on a daily basis which days the newly reported cases are assigned to.

Ministries report 2,641 new infections

The assignments make the curve of the course of the epidemic more precise. However, the numbers differ from the numbers of newly reported infections that have so far been used as a characteristic value, which are still communicated by the Ministry of Interior and Health. Today (as of 9:30 a.m.) there were 2,641 newly infected.
