There are enough opportunities for quarantine accommodation. Simon Wiget, Verbier’s head of tourism, explains: “We have drawn up a list of free and compliant quarantine accommodations for those affected. Our list for this week includes around 50 apartments and 50 hotel rooms in Verbier. »
VIEW looks into a potential quarantine apartment
One of these accommodations is a ground floor apartment in Chalet Alrou. The house is close to the Medran cable car station in Verbier. A good location. VIEW is looking at the potential quarantine camp.
The responsible administration will be contacted by the Verbier tourist office on Monday evening and asked if they still have apartments for guests from Great Britain who have to go into quarantine. The real estate business still has four apartments that are free and suitable.
Wiget adds: “For two weeks now we have been asking all the hostels in Verbier for a weekly update to find out where and how many places are still available.”
The apartment in Chalet Alrou is a wonderful five-room apartment on 134 square meters. The quarantine accommodation offers four bedrooms, two of them with an integrated bathroom, another wet room, an open kitchen, a living room and even a sauna.
Valais charm
The house and apartment are new and well kept, the style traditional. The typical interior of a Valais chalet. The low wooden ceilings provide warmth in the living room.
Romantic evenings can be spent in front of the fireplace in the living room to counteract the quarantine panic. A pitchfork adorns a wall. From the living room you can step onto a terrace and enjoy a great view.
Here you can linger, dwell and live. Even in quarantine. Tourism boss Wiget: “According to our information, the customer has to pay for the rental of the quarantine accommodation himself.”
As of Tuesday, the administration had not received any request for the accommodation of quarantined Englishmen in the Alrou.

The easiest and best method during the quarantine, however, is to stay in the accommodation you were already in, says Wiget. “If this is possible.”
The BAG made it clear on Tuesday evening what is in bloom for those who do not adhere to the quarantine: It addresses all British people via Twitter and threatens a fine of CHF 10,000.
Will the English people concerned give in, stop partying – and instead invest this money in luxury quarantine accommodation?
