The 21-year-old German is fighting for overall victory in his second year in Formula 2 and is leading the fight for the F2 title before the last double race in Abu Dhabi. Proof of his talent enough for the US team to name “Schumi Jr.” enable the next step in his career.
Schumacher is part of Ferrari’s junior squad, so the task at Scuderia’s engine partner was the first serious step in Formula 1. The cooperation should also be sustainable, because the entry contract runs for “several years”.
“I absolutely believe that he earned the chance on the basis of his performance. The F2 field 2020 will undoubtedly have an enormous number of talented drivers. In this competition Mick has won victories and podiums”, team boss Günther Steiner refuted prophecies of doom that the legend said -Spring attest benefits based on his surname.
