Hoffenheim’s goalkeeper Oliver Baumann has to pay a fine of 8,000 euros for his referee scolding after the defeat in Leverkusen. This was the verdict of the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) on Thursday in Frankfurt / Main. The committee considered it unsporting behavior that Baumann had denied the impartiality of referee Martin Petersen (Stuttgart).
The 30-year-old said on Sunday after the 1: 4 in the Bundesliga game of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim at Bayer Leverkusen on the Sky microphone: “It is very bitter to have played against twelve.” The Kraichgauer had felt disadvantaged by the referee. Baumann has agreed to the judgment, it is now legally binding.
