In the Bundesliga match between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt (3: 3), Christoph Kramer is in the focus of the cameras. TV pictures indicated a possible spitting attack on Sebastian Rode from Frankfurt. Now the DFB is checking whether the foal’s midfielder has let himself be carried away by gross unsportsmanlike conduct.
“The control committee is investigating the process,” announced Anton Nachreiner, chairman of the DFB control committee, on SID request. Meanwhile, Kramer protested his innocence to “Bild”: “Of course I didn’t spat on him! Apart from the fact that such an action would not really come to my mind and apart from the fact that I also really like Sebastian Rode , just no.”
According to reports from “kicker” and “Bild”, the DFB requested video material after the game in order to assess the situation more clearly. It cannot be ruled out, for example, that the unfavorable perspective of the television images leads to incorrect perception.
It remains to be seen whether the former international will face consequences in the form of a suspension or a fine.
