Angela Merkel is not exactly known for particularly spicy quotes and passionate speeches. Another Chancellor appeared in the Bundestag on Wednesday. One that left its objective line for a moment and started an emotional appeal in order to somehow avert the disaster with many dead and overcrowded hospitals in this corona winter. She is “deeply sorry”, she said with a view to further tightening, for which the German Chancellor is campaigning.
