Oppo introduces the Reno5 series

For the Chinese home market, Oppo has shown the first two smartphones of the Reno5 series. When they will come to Germany is still unclear.

In this country, the Reno4 series has only been on the market for a few months, but Oppo has now introduced the successors, at least for China, with the Reno5 and Reno5 Pro. Rumors also speak of a Pro + that should be refilled.

The Reno5 and Reno5 Pro have OLED displays with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a 32 megapixel front cam in a small hole. The base model is 6.43 inches diagonal, and the Pro is 6.55 inches. The coating of the smartphone’s rectangular camera unit, which Oppo calls “Reno Glow 2.0”, is visually striking, even in the dark. Both smartphones can be charged quickly with 65W and are 5G-capable.

The rear camera has a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and sensors for macro shots and depth measurement. The Reno5 uses a Snapdragon 765G processor, while the Reno5 Pro has a Dimensity 1000+ from MediaTek.

In China, prices for the Reno5 with 8 and 128 GB of storage start at around 340 euros and end with the Reno5 Pro with 12 and 256 GB for around 480 euros. Details on the European launch are not yet available, in China the new models will go on sale shortly before Christmas.
