Samsung’s new SoC for smartphones is moving fast

The new SoC Exynos 2100 from Samsung, which is presented for the first time in the Galaxy S21, shows a good result in the first benchmarks. It is a bit behind the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 in the single-core test, but a bit ahead of the multi-core test. Basically, the preliminary values indicate a very similar performance.

The preliminary values were distributed via Twitter, ComputerBase inserted them into the diagram recently created for the Snapdragon 888. Since Samsung always uses different SoCs for different markets for the Galaxy family, the very similar performance is probably not just a coincidence. Further details are expected at the beginning of January at the latest, when the official presentation is also due to take place.
