The Migros “All Stars” marble campaign has been running since November 3, 2020. The campaign lasts until Christmas Eve and means that every customer receives one marble for every CHF 20 purchase.
But what has now led to anger among many customers, was the special campaign on Saturday, December 5th, where you could only get certain special marbles on that day. As a result, various customers made purchases for several hundred Swiss francs that day. Like the Steinbacher Rahel Hochuli, who shopped for 300 francs and still only received one of the coveted marbles, as she told “20 Minuten” opposite.
The Migros cashier justified this by saying that there were not enough marbles in stock. Rahel Hochuli finds this a bottomless cheek, as she said to “20 Minuten”: “If they say that I get a marble for every 20 francs, and in the end I’m alone with one, that’s close to fraud for me.”
The Migros campaign has also been sharply criticized on Twitter. Many customers would have made extra large purchases on that day in order to receive as many special marbles as possible.
@migros Big marble disappointment with our 3.5 year old. 🥺 For a change, my husband threw himself into the hustle and bustle today (many people probably had the same thing in mind) and just got 1 special marble for his purchase. 😢 #murmelfan

@migros With today’s special marbles, isn’t it the case that I get one for every 20.-? I understand it this way, instead of orange Today Special? Not right? For my purchase over 100.- I only received 1 bag of special rest orange. Thanks for clarification! #marmelmania

Migros apologizes for the action
When asked by “20 Minuten”, Migros spokesman Marcel Schlatter wrote: “Migros was simply surprised by the demand. The special marbles went away like warm Weggli and so we simply did not have them in sufficient numbers. ”
And you understand the annoyance of customers. But you don’t want customers to have to go away empty-handed either. Those who have not received any of the special marbles can submit their receipts via email.
“Migros endeavors to provide an equivalent replacement. We are doing everything we can to process this as quickly as possible, ”Schlatter told“ 20 Minuten ”.
On December 23rd there should be another opportunity to receive special marbles.
