Sixt and Google cooperate. From now on, you can use the map service to see how you can use the ride-hailing offer for getting around. Sixt One is the platform for ride-hailing, i.e. carpooling, and taxi transfers. They coordinate the taking of passengers. Sixt ride then offers the rides.
So if you look for a route on Google Maps, you can book a taxi transfer via Sixt ride. According to the press release, this will initially be possible in 21 German cities, including Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Bonn. Other cities are to follow. Sixt is already cooperating with local taxi offices for the offer. Users can then choose from various categories of transport vehicles, such as premium models or vans. You can also choose whether you want a taxi with a partition wall. However, booking and payment are made via the Sixt app.
Google Maps shows a variety of mobility options: car, bike, on foot, but also e-scooters and public transport, including waiting times and usual occupancy at certain times.
