An unsuccessful parking maneuver in Stuttgart results in costs of 30,000 euros. A truck driver first hits a parked car with his vehicle – and then knocks over a massive lantern.

Stuttgart – A truck driver caused great damage in a failed parking maneuver in Stuttgart-Hedelfingen. No one was injured in the accident at Am Mittelkai, as the police announced on Wednesday morning.

Truck crane had to move

The 55-year-old man at the wheel first pushed a parked Citroën aside in the accident on Tuesday evening. Then he drove his truck against a massive concrete street lamp. The fire brigade and specialists from Netze BW had to use a truck crane to fix the damaged lantern.

Damage amounts to 30,000 euros

The street Am Mittelkai had to be closed for about an hour. According to initial estimates, property damage totaled 30,000 euros.
