Vienna (OTS) In order to ensure its operational, production and broadcasting capability, the ORF has offered its employees the option of a voluntary “COVID-19 test” as part of its corona prevention measures.

Around 2,800 employees of ORF and its group companies, that is around 70 percent of the ORF workforce, took advantage of this offer.

ORF General Director Dr. Alexander Wrabetz: “I am pleased that the test offer was so well received by the ORF staff and that ORF was able to make a contribution to Corona prevention in Austria. If many large companies do this, it is an important support and relief for the efforts of the Republic. I would like to thank everyone who took part and all those colleagues who helped organize and successfully carry out the tests in such a short time. We will be offering two more test waves before Christmas and early January! “

The tests took place on Friday, December 4th, 2020, and on Saturday, December 5th, at the ORF locations throughout Austria and were organized by ORF Occupational Medicine and Corporate Security under the direction of Pius Strobl.
