Waldhaus Flims becomes the first Autograph Collection Hotel in the Swiss Alps: day pass

The Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort has announced a partnership with Marriott International to add the Grand Hotel and Villa Silvana to the Autograph Collection portfolio. The Waldhaus Films Wellness Resort, Autograph Collection is the first hotel in the portfolio in the Swiss Alps. Ownership and management remain unchanged.

Originally founded as an alpine summer spa hotel in 1877, the hotel is one hour from Zurich and three hours from Milan and Munich. The resort offers 107 rooms, meeting and conference rooms and the Belle Époche ballroom, which can accommodate up to 400 people. The hotel also has four Gault & Millau and Michelin-awarded restaurants with Italian, Lebanese, Thai and international gourmet cuisine as well as a whiskey and cigar bar, a gin specialty bar and a wine cellar.

With the support of the Z Capital Group, which acquired the property in December 2015, the Waldhaus Flims has embarked on a comprehensive renovation and restored its five-star rating. New technology has been implemented throughout the resort since 2016, the main lobby has been redesigned and the Waldhaus Spa has been modernized. In addition, each of the resort’s four restaurants as well as the rooms and suites in the Grand Hotel and in the Villa Silvana were renovated.

“With a rich tradition of hospitality that goes back almost 150 years and a keen understanding of what luxury means in the 21st century, the Waldhaus Flims remains the outstanding hotel and resort in the Alpine region,” said Burkhard Wolter, General Manager of the Waldhaus Flims. “We continually strive to bring invigorating, memorable experiences of the highest quality to each of our guests and are thrilled to join the Autograph Collection Hotels. This partnership is testament to our impressive staff and world-class hospitality.”
